Reporting Misconduct

The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas is committed to maintaining an environment in its churches, schools, and institutions that is free of abuse of children and youth and of sexual exploitation and harassment of adults. It is a commitment the diocese requires all ministers of the Church, lay and ordained, to make and uphold.

Clergy misconduct of any kind should be reported directly to Canon Caroline Mowen. Clergy misconduct is governed by Title IV of the Episcopal Church’s Constitutions and Canons.

Reports may be made in any form, but an example of the information to include can be found in this Confidential Notice of Concern. To the extent possible, reports will be kept confidential. More reporting details may be found in the Safeguarding policies of the diocese.
