Fishin for Mission


 

 

Welcome to the Fishin' for Mission Home page. The second annual diocesan fishing tournament will be held in Rockport, Texas on June 25 -26, 2010.  
Join the fun this summer at the second annual Fishin’ for Mission fishing tournament and family fun weekend at Rockport, Tx.  St. Peter’s Rockport will host this Diocesan wide event.  Funds raised will go to support world mission projects through the Diocese of West Texas.  There are guided and unguided divisions in this event with prizes for everything from biggest redfish to biggest hardhead, to best photo.  For non-anglers there will be plenty of things to keep you busy too, as Rockport is a town designed for families. There is a kids fishing division this year and all the action happens at the Rockport Beach which is an ideal beach for small children.  Shoppers and art lovers??  Rockport can keep you busy all day.  Bird watchers and other nature lovers?  We have activities for you too. Hope to see you there!
