A Benedictine Quiet Morning, a Fall Quiet Day , to which all are welcome, for men and women, will be held at St. Boniface Church, Comfort, on Saturday, September 18, from 9 am to 1 pm. Leading the day will be the Rev. Beth Fain, rector of St .Mary’s Church in Cypress, Texas; it will be hosted by St. Boniface’s Daughters of the King group. A light lunch will be provided. September 18 - Stars Over TMI: Celebrating Pillars of Excellence will honor the Rt. Rev. James E. Folts, former bishop of the Diocese of West Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight on the campus of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas in San Antonio. The annual gala will feature dinner with a Texas flair, including sirloin steak and grilled shrimp, catered by the RK Group; and music provided by the Rick Cavender Band for dancing under the Stars. The event, which also features live and silent auctions and a raffle, is the school’s largest annual fundraiser, benefiting academic programs, facilities improvements and student financial aid. The goal of the program is to educate attendees about the role of new technology and media in the lives of young people.
