S.E.E the Light College Conference

The conference will take place at the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park, CO. This event is planned and designed by Episcopalian college students for other college students within the Episcopal Church. We will explore our theme of "Seek, Encounter, and Embody (SEE) the Light" with speakers, workshop leaders and with each other, while spending time in worship rooted in Episcopal traditions from around the world. $100 per students, scholarships are available from the the diocese. Additional costs: Snowshoeing $20, Skiing $80, Snowboarding $85. Skiing and snowboarding are limited to 65 people, priority will be given to thouse without skiing/snowboarding experience. Brown bag lunches is a new program for all diocesan parish, school and service agency communicators to meet together every 2nd Wednesday of each month. We will be at the Bishop Jones Center from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. and will feature communication topics and discussions. Please bring your lunch and the diocese will provide something to drink. The Tapestry Workshop model, branded by NAECED, (National Association for Episcopal Christian Educators) is designed to promote the balance of professional development and spiritual enrichment. Mary’s Hope Workshops, a ministry of spiritual healing and recovery from child abuse, will present two workshops and a retreat at the Moye Center in Castroville, February 4-7, 2009. The Diocese of West Texas will host a conference for all churches and agencies in the diocese located at TMI in San Antonio. Clergy are encouraged to bring many parishioners from their churches to attend multiple workshops, discussion groups and to hear speakers. "The Jesus Way: Recovering the Lost Art of Discipleship" will be the theme. The conference will be held at the Hyatt on the San Antonio River Walk.
