Lenten Video Series: Here Am I. Send Me.

Suggested Bulletin Text

The Christian Formation Committee and the Rev. Canon Leyla King, Canon for Mission in Small Congregations have put together a Lenten video series on the 2025 diocesan theme "Here Am I. Send Me." The series explores how each of us hears the Lord’s call on our lives and answers it, like Isaiah, through our vocations in the Church, as lay people, deacons, priests and bishops.

This 5-week series can be used for a mid-week or Sunday morning study. The series includes videos, audio recordings, transcripts, and a discussion guide. The videos and discussion guides will be published before Council in February. Come by the Christian Formation booth and we will walk you through how to access these resources online and use them in your congregation. You can also email Suzanna at formaton@dwtx.org or Canon Leyla at leyla.king@dwtx.org.

Join Arden McLean from St. George, San Antonio, lay rector and Marie Sluder from Holy Spirit, San Antonio, assistant rectora, for Cursillo #295 for a weekend of study, reflection, fellowship, and worship held  March 13 - 16, 2024 at Camp Capers. Cursillo (a Spanish word meaning "little course") gives church members the tools and "rules of life" to enthusiastically share the joys of knowing Christ with others in their everyday environments. Cursillo is patterned on Jesus' own example. He searched out and called groups of potential leaders, trained them and sent them out to bring the world to Him.
