Lunch Presentation with the Rev. Canon John L. Peterson
Please join the former Secretary General of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the Rev. Canon John L. Peterson, for a special presentation, TheThe Anglican Communion: Living in the Diversity of the Israel-Hamas War and God's Creative Hand at Work in the World, in the Chapel House at the offices of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, 111 Torcido Drive in San Antonio, on Monday, April 22 at 11:30 a.m. In honor of Fiesta San Antonio, a Mexican buffet lunch will be served for a suggested donation of $15 a person at the door.
During the presentation, Peterson will discuss the current situation in the Holy Land, including an update about the Arab Ahli Hospital in Gaza which is owned and operated by the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem
Peterson's impressive background includes completing and receiving numerous academic achievements and honors, serving as both the Dean of St. George's College, Jerusalem and as the first Canon for Global Justice and Reconciliation of the Washington National Cathedral. He is also a founding member and former president of the Compass Rose Society, an organization that supports the ministry of the Anglican Communion. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Diocese of Jerusalem's Princess Basma Centre for Children with Disabilities.
