LOGOS Magazine is the annual print magazine of the diocese, seeking to capture God incarnate, the Word made flesh, in the people and ministries of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Through contributions of clergy, spouses, lay ministers and staff, the Communications Office is committed to illuminating the truth about God’s movement in our lives and world. We pray its readers are inspired, enlightened, and challenged by its words.
Issue 02 showcases creative expressions, theological reflections, and tidings rooted in the 2021 diocesan scripture theme, as depicted through the lens of our diocesan body. "Nevertheless, the Kingdom has come near" (Luke 10:11) was announced as the theme for 2021 by the Rt. Rev. David M. Reed, and has shaped the content of the 42 page publication.
Individuals residing within the geographic boundaries of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas were invited to submit artistic, creative expressions relating to, or inspired by the theme, including Artwork, Photography, and Writing. Church congregants and leadership also submitted short-form written responses in response to the prompt, "Describe an experience or moment in 2020 where you witnessed God's Kingdom on earth," several of which are featured in the Community section of the magazine.
