About

The mission of the Church is the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ, and reconciliation is at the heart of Christ’s mission into the world: “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners,” and “In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself…and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.” (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:19) The Prayer Book Catechism declares that our mission as followers of Jesus is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.” (pg. 855)

Established by the Rt. Rev. David M. Reed, Tenth Bishop of West Texas, the Racial Reconciliation Commission has worked to gather resources and to become a resource for churches in our holy calling to be witnesses to the reconciling love of God in Jesus Christ.

Contact the Commission for more information about the resources below and implementing them in your congregations.
