Diocesan Youth Confirmation Retreat
The Bishop's Youth Commission is organizing a Confirmation Retreat for diocesan youth, taking place March 11 - 13, 2022 at Mustang Island Conference Center. This retreat is for Jr. High and High School youth who are interested in being confirmed.
Led by diocesan clergy and youth ministers, the retreat will introduce many topics related to Confirmation and provide opportunities for fellowship and fun with other diocesan youth. Retreat leaders will share a list of the topics with each participant's home congregation, with the expectation that local leaders will continue Confirmation preparations with the youth after the retreat. This could mean that a youth minister, priest, or lay person will meet with the student a few times to review what was discussed at the retreat as well as some further study topics.
Registration for the Confirmation Retreat for youth currently in 7th grade through 12th grade will open online in January 2022. It will cost $60 per participant, and scholarships will be available.
