The Christian Formation Committee and the Rev. Canon Leyla King, Canon for Mission in Small Congregations have put together a Lenten video series on the 2025 diocesan theme "Here Am I. Send Me." The series explores how each of us hears the Lord’s call on our lives and answers it, like Isaiah, through our vocations in the Church, as lay people, deacons, priests and bishops.

This 5-week series can be used for a mid-week or Sunday morning study.

1. Can I use this on zoom? Yes of course! You can screenshare and play the videos over zoom. Be sure to click the "share audio" button when you start screensharing and if you need some additional zoom tips feel free to reach out to Suzanna.
2. How can I fit this in to a 45-minute class? The discussion guide has timestamps above the questions! You can choose to either ask folks to watch the video ahead of time and play clips during the class or simply play the clips of the videos that pertain to each question during the class.
3. None of the people in my study group are clergy or discerning a call to anything, does this study still pertain to them? Yes! This study will still be of great interest to folks even if they aren't in discernment. In the study folks will learn more about each of the orders and what they do, which relates to everyone in the Episcopal church. The discussion questions are also geared towards folks' individual experiences and broad enough to have some great discussion about our ongoing vocations throughout our life.
4. Can this study be used during a season other than Lent? Yes! While the study was designed to be used in Lent and the videos and print materials all say "Lent" somewhere on them this would be a great 5-week adult (or Sr. High Youth) study for any time of the year.
